Thirteen New Beginnings was the last edition of the anthology to be created under the eaves of the old NSW Institute of Technology before it became UTS. It was published by Local Consumption Publications and illustrated by Cecilia Heffer (now a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building) and Penelope S. Richardson, a local artist and illustrator who also designed the cover.
